Walkman® phone
Have your favourite sounds with you – always, whenever, wherever you go. Your Walkman® phone is not only a mobile phone. It’s a portable music device, too.

Quick and easy access to broadband Internet. Say hello to video calls, audio and video streaming, Internet surfing, multimedia messaging and email on the go.

Integrated camera

PictBridge - print straight from your phone
Skip the computer and photo editing software. Just connect your phone to a printer, choose an image and print.

Video call
See who’s talking with your 3G phone. During a video call, you see a live video stream of the person you're talking to - and they can see you.

Video blog
You get your own personal blog site with your phone. So why not add some moving pictures to it? Shoot a video clip, and all it takes to upload it is a few clicks.

Podcasts in your phone

Subscribe to music and video podcasts. Transfer them to your phone via Sony Ericsson Media Manager software (included on CD in phone kit) and enjoy on the go.

Web wherever
Truly mobile Internet lets you enjoy browsing the Web and manage your email effectively with the convenience of your phone, wherever you are.

In the kit
All you need for a full music experience is included in the phone kit. You get a 2GB Memory Stick Micro™ (M2™) - room for up to 1800 songs*. There's also a USB cable, a stereo portable handsfree and PC software. * 1800 songs assumes eAAC+ encoded files.

Playlists for your mood - SensMe™

With your phone kit you get a CD with software for managing music, photos and video clips. Transfer music, videos and photos to and from your phone.

Discover what your phone can do
The convenient PlayNow™ download service is the fastest and easiest way to personalise your mobile phone with an MP3 music tone. In just three clicks you'll have a new ringtone ready to play. *PlayNow™ availability depends on your location, and network operator support.

Keep up with the latest hits
Choose from a constantly updated list of hit music. The PlayNow™ icon is an easily recognisable green “play” arrow button on your phone’s desktop. It starts a dynamic Web application, effectively going online for new content without your having to use a browser.

Use it how you like
Once you’ve purchased a new ringtone, you’ll be asked whether you want to set it as your default ringtone. You can add it to a friend’s number, so you only hear it when they call, or you can simply listen and enjoy your favourite song whenever you feel like it.

Try before you buy
Can’t make up your mind? Listen to as many ringtones as you want! When you select a song, it downloads in seconds, and you can listen to it before you decide to purchase it. The price is clearly stated onscreen for you to read. Press “Yes” to buy, and the amount is charged to your mobile phone bill.

3G high-speed Internet
The third generation of mobile networks brings the convenience of broadband Internet to your mobile phone. Fast data transfer speeds - up to 384 kbps - give you quick, easy access to a world of video calls, audio and video streaming, Web surfing, multimedia messaging and email wherever you go.

Always online
Your 3G phone has an ‘always on’ Internet connection with high-speed data transfer. This gives you a fuller mobile Internet experience, making it practical to access large files or use complex remote services, no matter where you are.

Talk and browse
Quickly and easily send or receive a file on your mobile phone without interrupting your voice call. Multitasking means you can talk while you download or share videos, games and music, so the fun never has to stop.

Streaming video
Your mobile phone doubles as a media player for streaming movie trailers, the latest sports news, music videos and more. Choose the news and entertainment you want, and have it delivered straight to your mobile phone. Why wait?

Small is beautiful
As everyday technology becomes increasingly compact, a memory card is the ideal storage device – compatible with many devices such as mobile phones, IC recorders, PDAs, e-books, games and audio players. But small physical size doesn’t mean compromised storage capacity!

High capacity, high speed
Memory cards are IC recording media that use flash memory to record various digital media on a single stick. Also known as silicon media, IC uses an Integrated Circuit to store data and offer compact high-capacity, high-speed data read/write, expandability and copyright protection.

Unlimited connectivity
Send and receive text messages – even while browsing the Web or writing email – and edit your phonebook from the Wireless Manager interface.

How it works
Every Bluetooth™ device has a unique name, enabling devices to recognise each other once they have been paired, and avoiding interference with other devices. Bluetooth™ enables communication across distances of up to 10 metres, and at speeds of up to 720 kb/s per channel.

Essential in the car
Pair your phone with a handsfree unit for safe, convenient communication while driving. Phone and unit connect instantly, even with your phone in your bag, letting you keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road while you make, take and reject calls.

The versatile technology
In the spirit of co-operation, Sony Ericsson Bluetooth™ products are compatible with other brands such as Sony, TDK, Apple™ and Palm. Connect easily to a PC or PDA to browse the Web and sync files, and print wirelessly from a Bluetooth™-enabled printer.

The freedom to have fun
Bluetooth™ lets you loose for downtime: enjoy multiplayer games with your friends, phone-to-phone, or control and race a Bluetooth™ car via your phone. And QuickShare™ lets you share your favourite images easily with drag and drop.

Synchronised magic
With Bluetooth™, you can synchronise your work tools quickly and effortlessly. Once paired, your devices remember each other’s unique names and connect seamlessly every time, just as we recognise our friends. Many Sony Ericsson phones are also compatible with Apple® iSync.

Bluetooth™ headset
Lose those ugly wires! A Bluetooth™ headset gives outstanding audio quality for both you and the person you’re talking to, and complements your outfit with stylish design. Manage calls easily with buttons and voice control, up to 10 metres from your phone.

Listening is a pleasure
Pump up the volume with confidence when listening to your favourite song – your Bluetooth™ device will automatically mute the music for incoming calls. There’s no need to lunge for the volume control.

Why is it called Bluetooth™?
The Viking king Harald Bluetooth united Norway and Denmark. He was renowned as a great communicator, skilled at bringing people together to talk to each other – but he would never have guessed that a thousand years later a powerful technology would be named after him!

Video call
Don’t just call them – see them, too! Video call lets you see your caller in the main display, and they can see you. Business conversations are enhanced, and friends and families just got a whole lot closer.

The new Sony Ericsson K660 packs landscape Web browsing and dedicated shortcut keys into a classy looking handset targeting a young Web-savvy audience.

London, UK – 6th November 2007 – Sony Ericsson today announced the launch of the K660, an HSDPA (‘mobile broadband’) enabled phone with clever features like illuminated shortcut keys that only become active when surfing the Net, and desktop tickers that provide regular updates from your favourite websites; all designed to make Web browsing on the move as simple and convenient as at your computer.

“Sony Ericsson’s vision is to offer ‘Generation Web’ a mobile internet experience that’s rich, user-friendly and satisfying,” says Martin Winkler, Head of Web Marketing at Sony Ericsson “This Web-optimised phone is a clear step along that journey and will appeal to individuals who are managing their busy lives and social networks online, whether its arranging to meet up for a football match or booking concert tickets.”

Sony Ericsson K660 – Web for Youth

  • Web Optimised (Landscape Browsing and Shortcut Keys) for easy surfing
  • HSDPA for fast surfing, email and download
  • Google Maps for Mobile

The internet as you expect it to be!
The K660 makes browsing the mobile Web straightforward. The phone’s navigation key serves as a “magnetic mouse pointer” when in Web mode, letting you find your way around the page just as you would on a PC. It indicates when a part of the page is clickable and where text input is possible. You can even zoom in for a closer look at text or images.

Pan-and-zoom is just one of the Web shortcut keys that sit under your thumb when viewing Web pages in landscape mode. The K660 also sports a Bookmark function, a single click button that takes you back to your Home Page and an ‘Enter Address’ shortcut; all intended to guide you through the Web that much quicker. .

The information you need – on your terms
The K660 is engineered to ensure that you’re not kept waiting for the news or content that matters to you. Music, video or email – HSDPA technology lets you download it all at speeds that are up to four times faster than regular 3G.

Get there with Google Maps for Mobile
Thanks to Google™Mapsfor Mobile, the K660 keeps you grounded wherever you are, even in a strange city. Find your way instantly with interactive maps that let you zoom in or out, or pan in any direction to orient yourself. Enter your current location and destination and receive point-to-point directions. No fuss, no diversions.

Shoot and share…instantly
The K660 squeezes a 2.0 megapixel camera into its compact frame, making it easy to capture the moment. And since the Web is at your fingertips, it’s just a few clicks to upload your picture to your blogsite and share it instantly with friends and family.

Although packing a whole host of Web applications, this phone is not just for suits. Available in two stand-out colours, a funky ‘lime-on-white’ and a stylish ‘wine-on-black’ colour, the K660 will earn you admiring glances no matter where you are.

The K660 is a UMTS/HSDPA 2100 and GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 phone that will be available in selected markets from Q1 2008.

Sony Ericsson Bluetooth™ Headset HBH-PV703
Make the most of the K660’s Bluetooth™ technology with the compact new Bluetooth™ Headset HBH-PV703, available as a separate accessory.

  • With a talk time of up to 10 hours, a standby time of up to 350 hours the HBH-PV703 can keep going for as long as you can talk!
  • The HBH-PV703 has features such as last number redial and voice dialing, letting you easily handle calls whenever you need.

Charge it. Forget it
The powerful HBH-PV703 offers up to a remarkable 10 hours talk time and 350 hours standby time - so you won’t miss important calls because the battery ran out.

With Auto-pairing ™ the HBH-PV703 automatically connects to your phone so all you need to do after charging it is activate Bluetooth™ in your phone. No need to try and recall pin codes – and with Bluetooth™ 2.0 + EDR – no compromise on security.

Use it all the time
Weighing a mere 14 g/ 0.49 oz., the HBH-PV703 is light enough to wear comfortably all day. Manage your calls from your headset with its built-in answer / end call, last number redial, and volume buttons.

The TrackID™ functionality, available on the W380, the W890 and a host of other Walkman® phones – is one of the phones’ most popular features. Latest figures show that every second, someone, somewhere, is using TrackID™ to identify a song they love.

Once you have identified the song, get it onto your phone in just a few clicks via PlayNow™. Or browse through the latest full-length music tracks, mobile games, MP3 ringtones and wallpapers – all available from PlayNow™ straight to your W380 Walkman® phone or via your PC.

Take it to the top
The W380 Walkman® phone brings your music to the surface of the phone, allowing you to control what you’re listening to without needing to open the phone. Skip forward or backwards between tracks or pause the music effortlessly. One-touch buttons on the top of the phone light up when the Walkman® player is switched on and a hidden display comes to life, providing track information at a glance.

When not in use, the W380 Walkman® phone looks discreet and laid-back from the outside. But as soon as you receive a call or play music, it comes alive. Choose different light effects for different callers, and see your music ‘dance’ when the phone’s lights match the beat of your favourite song.

Keep your hands off!
Mute your phone with a wave of your hand. Or snooze the alarm if you’re lying in bed. The W380’s Gesture Control feature allows true ‘handsfree’ handling of your calls for the first time – show it off to your friends!

Accessorise it
To enjoy your music discreetly when you’re in public, choose a great headset to go with it. Pick from the Stereo Portable Headset HPM-83 or the Stereo Bluetooth™ Headset HBH-DS200 if you want to stream music wirelessly from your phone.

The W380 is a GSM/EDGE/GPRS 850/1800/1900 and 900/1800/1900 clamshell phone and will be available in selected markets from Q1 2008.

Expand your memory
Extend a device’s memory with the smallest memory card on the market, Memory Stick Micro™ (M2™). Adaptors are available if you want to use with Memory Stick PRO-compatible products.

Small is beautiful
As everyday technology becomes increasingly compact, a memory card is the ideal storage device – compatible with many devices such as mobile phones, IC recorders, PDAs, e-books, games and audio players. But small physical size doesn’t mean compromised storage capacity!

The Bluetooth™ experience
Liberate yourself from cables and revel in unfettered freedom. Bluetooth™ wireless technology frees more than your hands – discover how easy it is to synchronise devices, share files and multitask when you’re not tripping over wires or constantly unplugging and reconnecting.

Video call
Don’t just call them – see them, too! Video call lets you see your caller in the main display, and they can see you. Business conversations are enhanced, and friends and families just got a whole lot closer.

Why wait?
